What makes the best garden tillers is usually dependent upon the intended use by the consumer. If you plan to be breaking up new ground all of the time, then you'd likely want to look at a rear tine garden tiller. If you can handle the roughness of a front tine garden tiller and will be tilling up prepared garden beds, then that should be sufficient for your purpose.
There are many different brands of garden tillers and for the most part one tiller is as good as the other. There are some differences in a garden tiller like horsepower and transmission differences. Finding the perfect garden tiller for you will require more research. You can plan ahead by thinking about how you will use your garden tiller most frequently. Once you have that major decision in mind, you can move on to finding the best garden tillers for your tilling needs.
Soil is Alive
Soil is Alive
What? You didn't know soil is alive? Don't feel alone! Not many people do. To many, soil is just something we walk upon on a daily basis. But, right below your feet are millions of living organisms that make up this thing we call soil.
Why should we care about soil? Why is soil so important to our daily lives? Because no matter how you look at it, soil is what feeds us all. Without healthy soil, we grow unhealthy plants. Unhealthy plants lead to an unhealthy diet. And of course we all know that an unhealthy diet leads to just plain old bad health. For us, and for anything else that feeds off of soil...which is every living being.
Next time you're sitting around bored to tears, sit there and think about that thought for a few minutes, if you will.
